Rice Lake Speedway Car Show and Swap Meet March 27-29
Rice Lake WI – Another sure sign that Spring is creeeping up upon the residents of Northwestern Wisconsin is the arrival of the annual car show for the Rice Lake Speedway. As it has for many years, the car show will once again be held at Rice Lake's Cedar Mall on the South side of Rice Lake. However, new this year, in addition to the car show, will be the first annual race car and Go Kart parts swap meet that will be held on Saturday, March 28th.
The race cars will enter the Mall on Thursday night, March 26th and will be on display in the Mall's Rotunda until 2 pm on Sunday when they will be removed. Race cars that run in all the classes offered at the speedway are expected to be on hand plus many of the Karts that race at Rice Lake's Speed Pit Kart Track will also be on display.
The swap meet will be held on Saturday, March 28th only. Using the old Dunhan's Sports location inside the Mall, set will be from 8-10 am, the activity will then commence until 4 pm when clean up begins.
There is no seller's fee for this swap meet. However, Sellers must pre register and they can do that on the speedway website or call Kolby Kiehl at 715-236-2002.
Officials of the speedway are expected to be in attendance during Mall hours all weekend and track schedules and other information will be available concerning the upcoming season. Further announcements on some other exciting developments are also expected soon by track ownership.
The on track activities at the speedway are now slated to begin on Thursday night, April 23rd when an open practice session is scheduled, weather permitting, at the speedway located one mile North of Rice Lake. The seventy fourth annual season opener for the speedway, the longest consecutively running dirt track in northern Wisconsin, is slated to begin on Saturday night, April 25th.
The same five classes that raced at the speedway in 2025 will return with WISSOTA sanctioned Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks racing weekly. Special events include the annual Street Stock Little Dream race on Tuesday night, July 28th, the WISSOTA Late Model Structural Buildings Challenge Series race on Saturday night, August 8th, The Firecracker Special on Thursday night, July 2nd and the season ending Dairyland Dash doubleheader on September 5th and 6th plus a number of other specials including Kid's Night on May 23rd.
One change from the original schedule posted several weeks ago is the dropping of the USRA Late Models from the schedule on May 23rd because of a scheduling conflict with another track. The USRA Late Models will, however, race five times at the track in2026 including the Dairyland Dash doubleheader.
