Blake Adams Wins WISSOTA National Championship, Other Rice Lake Speedway Drivers Do Well

Rice Lake WI – The WISSOTA National points season concluded on October 12th and drivers who raced at the Rice Lake Speedway did very well, led by Blake Adams from Cameron who won his first National point title in the Modified class while also earning top three honors in the Midwest Modified division. Other drivers who's Saturday night home was the Rice Lake Speedway also did very well in the season concluding points standings including the father and son team of Curt and Alex Myers and Austin Fencl.

It was an historic year for Adams as the sixteen year old from Cameron took the Modified National point lead early in the racing season and then held the point lead the rest of the way, right through the concluding events in October.

Blake topped two hundred and seventy four other drivers from throughout the WISSOTA region in earning the title as the Adams Motorsports Team, led by crew chief father Kevin, raced extensively throughout the WISSOTA region.

All told, Adams earned twenty five WISSOTA Modified feature wins, fifty six top five finishes and sixty three top ten finishes. He won feature races at sixteen different tracks in three states and Canada.

Along with winning his first National Modified point title, he also won the Modified Rookie of the Year honors with 2025 being his first year racing a Modified. He is also believed to be the first rookie to ever win a National title and at sixteen years old, the youngest driver ever to win a National point title in the WISSOTA organization.

Adams has been invited to race in the prestigious Gateway Dirt Nationals event and will conclude his season racing at that indoor dirt track event at the Dome at America's Center in St. Louis in December.

Despite focusing on his Modified, Blake also raced his Midwest Modified often enough and successful enough to finish third in National points in that class also. He won fourteen times in the Midwest Modified, with forty two top five finishes and fourty four top ten finishes. Overall this season, he has won forty one feature races with a couple of nonsanctioned events yet to be raced. He was the point champion in both the Modified and Midwest Modified classes at the Rice Lake Speedway.

Curt Myers, also from Cameron, announced this Fall his retirement from dirt track racing. If he follows through on that, he will have concluded his racing career on a high note. He finished second in the WISSOTA National Super Stock points, earning eighteen feature wins, thirty five top five finishes and thirty nine top ten runs. He finished eight points behind Shane Sabraski from Rice Minnesota in the final tally.

He also broke the all time record for Super Stock wins at the Rice Lake Speedway this Summer, breaking the long standing record previously held by Don Drew.

The next generation of racers from the Myers family is set to shine however, as Curt's son Alex had a breakout year in 2025 and finished ninth in the WISSOTA National point standings.

The other regular at the Rice Lake Speedway to break into the top ten in final National WISSOTA points was Pure Stock driver Austin Fencl from Bruce. With a late season rush, he was able to move up to eighth in the final National point standings.

As they make initial preparations for the 2026 racing season, the third for owners Rice Lake Speedway LLC, more clay has already been added to the track this Fall, reshaping and increasing the banking in the corners, with more improvements also planned.

Watch the speedway website at www.ricelakespeedway.net and face book page for further announcements as the 2026 racing schedule is dropped along with information on the racing banquet and other important announcements this off season.
