Schedule Change Announced For Shaw Trucking Challenge Series
Grand Rapids Speedway has agreed to host a Shaw Trucking WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series Event as part of its long standing Labor Day Weekend special The WISSOTA Classic. "We have been working with Grand Rapids Speedway each year hoping to be a part of this great event. The event ties in perfectly for Challenge Series Drivers with the following two nights being at the Hibbing Raceway" stated Series Director Craig Sullivan. The event which will kick off the final points weekend for the Shaw Trucking Challenge Series will be a $2,000 to win event for the WISSOTA Late Models.
The event date of September 1st was originally scheduled at St. Croix Speedway. The speedway was recently put up for sale and it is not clear yet as to who the new owners will be. Challenge Series Officials and the Promoters of St. Croix Speedway have decided that it is in the best interest of all parties to revisit the idea of hosting a race once the new management team is put in place. Sullivan commented "We wish them luck moving forward and hope to work with the new owners in 2018".
