Rice Lake Speedway Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Additions
Rice Lake WI, April 8 – The voting committee of the Rice Lake Speedway Hall of Fame met recently to elect additional members for the 2025 class to be added to the Rice Lake Speedway Hall of Fame membership.
Each year since 2011 when the Hall of Fame was started, additional members have been voting in for the two categories that the Hall supports, a drivers category and a second category for Friends Of The Speedway which includes car owners, mechanics, track employees, builders, track board members, fans of the speedway, members of the media and others associated with the track.
This year, the three drivers selected for the Hall are Darwin Brown, Dave Havel and the late Brent Laursen. The Friend of the Speedway selected was Rick Kurshinsky.
The formal induction ceremony for the new inductees will be held on Saturday night, August 16th as a part of the racing program on that night. After attending an informal brunch with the owners of the Speedway, Kolby and Dean Kiehl along with Dick Kalow, and with the existing members of the Hall in attendance, they will be individually introduced to the crowd and awarded their plaques.
For full biographies of all members of the Hall of Fame, visit the speedway website at www.ricelakespeedway.net.
The voting committee of the Hall would like to thank everyone that suggested names of potential new Hall of Fame members in response to the request by the Hall earlier this year. All names were added to the potential list of candidates for the next round of voting which will be in March, 2026.
